On Second Thought...
On Second Thought...
Yeeeaahhh... I don't think I'll be porting the game to MZ. The idea of taking advantage of new features of the engine and new plugins was exciting. But after taking a step back and looking at my current project in its current state, I realized just how much time and effort went into optimizing the experience for the players (thanks to all the playtesters). That alone is INCREDIBLY time consuming, and time is something that I have very little of nowadays.
Porting a game to MZ isn't an easy process. Sure, the process is made easier by carrying over Data files. But I still have to go through every event and do things like change plugin commands, notetags, and even some Javascript functions that no longer work in MZ. The idea of going through this manually is surely going to cause some bugs that will have to be worked out... Bottom line, porting just isn't a smart move now that I look at how little free time I actually have.
I have to finish this game as fast as possible. Not to mention, I'm still getting good feedback from players. For the most part, people are enjoying the game. And that's all the matters.
That being said, I've made some decent progress over the last couple of days, and there will also be some costume changes to some characters. Partially because I think they fit better, and also because there are already several poses/animations available for when I add some more battle motions to the main characters.
